TULSA, Okla. (April 11, 2006) -- American Sprint Car Series president and founder Emmett Hahn made a visit to Rochester, NY, on Saturday to meet with officials and teams with the recently acquired Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriot Sprint Group.

Hahn met with Patriot Sprint Group officials, including Manager Tom Taber, Race Director Jay Shaw and Media Director Rich Vleck among others, to discuss race procedures and technical issues.

Hahn then met with representatives from several teams, including defending series champion Bryan Howland of Auburn, NY, to field questions about the upcoming ASCS Patriot Sprint Group season, which consists of 22 events throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Canada.

Among the announcements was that the 2006 point fund for the Bobcat of Buffalo ASCS Patriot Sprint Group would be increased over what has been paid in recent years.

The ASCS Patriot Sprint Group kicks off the 2006 campaign on April 30 at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, NY.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
