ASCS Washed Out at Devil's Bowl This Weekend; Waco Still a Go for Gulf South

TULSA, Okla. (August 21, 2008) -- Mother Nature has already forced her hand, altering at least a portion of this weekend's American Sprint Car Series Regional action.

Heavy rain throughout the week has forced the cancellation of Saturday night's Sixth Annual ASCS Gulf South vs. Sooner Region Shootout at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX.

Friday's scheduled card at Waco's Heart O' Texas Speedway is still on, however it will now be an ASCS Gulf South Regional event ONLY rather than a combined Gulf South vs. Sooner Shootout. Friday's ASCS Gulf South Region action at Heart O' Texas Speedway goes green at 8:00 p.m.

The next scheduled event for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region is at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, TX, on September 13.
