POPULAR ASCS PATRIOT SPRINT CAR SERIES TO FLY AT FULTON SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 8TH ONA-VERDI STORAGE CONTAINERS NIGHT

FULTON, NY...The popular ASCS Patriot Sprint Car Series will make their only appearance of the 2009 season at Fulton Speedway this Saturday, August 8. The winged rockets are sure to fly around the high-banked track on A-Verdi Storage Containers Night. The DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Street Stocks, Novice Sportsman, Mod Lites and the Gladiators will also be part of the sure to be action packed race program. Show time is set for 7 p.m.

Bryan Howland, Jared Zimbardi, Don Adamczyk, Bubba Broderick, Bobby Breen, Blake Breen, Gordy Button, Derek Jonathan, Chris Mulheisen and Scott Kreuter are the top ten currently in the ASCS Patriot point standings. Trevor Lewis, Chuck Hebing, Dab Kaszubinski, Judi Bates, Jason Barney, Jeff Cook and Bob Podolak have all informed ASCS officials that they too will look for the winners share in the 25-lap "A" Main feature race this Saturday night.

Tim Sears, Jr. continues to lead the DIRTcar Sportsman standings at Fulton Speedway over John Pietrowicz, Billy Clark, Jordan Bennett, Jeremy Pitcher and Alan Fink. Dan Hoffman Sr. leads the way in the DIRTcar Street Stock rankings with Dan Hoffman Jr., Steve Woodworth, Ron Hawker and Russ Marsden in pursuit. Jon Shumway sits at the top of the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman rankings with Joe Kline and Mark Johnston in striking distance.

This Saturday the Mod Lite racers will compete in a pair of main events. The Mod Lite competitors had the double features set-up after the feature race was rained-out on July 25. The growing Gladiator division will also be in action on A-Verdi Storage Containers Night. Bruce Unger won a pair of events last Saturday night. Well over 100 cars are expected to be in race competition this Saturday evening at the Oswego County facility for a great evening of family entertainment.

Fulton Speedway gates on Saturday, August 8 will open at 5 p.m. Race competition on A-Verdi Storage Containers Night will start at 7 p.m. For more information please go on line to www.fultonspeedway.com. The track office number is 315-593-6531 with the race line reached at 668-RACE. The track is located on Route 57 just south of the city limits. Free parking and overnight camping is offered. Children nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge.
