Brockville Ontario Speedway to Kick off Spectro Oils Canadian Invasion Series for the nativepoker.com Empire Super Sprints.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- On Saturday night, June 3rd. the track simply known as the "BOS", the Brockville Ontario Speedway will be the first leg of the 14 date Spectro Oils Canadian Invasion Series for the winged warriors of the Empire Super Sprints (ESS). The quick quarter-mile oval always provides wild sprint car action on this early June evening will be no different.
Our friends across the border have always been a big part of the nativepoker.com Tour for ESS and in 2006 the most races ever held in Canada awaits the teams. Not only does each race count towards the overall championship but a separate point standing and point fund has been established for all events held in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Joining Brockville in the series is Cornwall, Ohsweken and South Buxton from Ontario with Autodromes Granby and Drummond as well as Edelweiss from the French speaking province of Quebec.
This season will be the last for the Brockville as everyone knows it, a planned wider, bigger and high banked oval for 2007 will make the teams throw away their set-up books. Last year Lance Yonge and Bobby Podolak took home victories at the Kirkland family promoted facility. For Yonge it helped him jump start to the lead and eventually the Spectro Oils title. For Podolak, who is backed by the Brockville, Ontario based Proctor and Gamble Corporation and the Swiffer Products, it was a well earned win in front of some very important folks.
Swiffer will again sponsor both ESS stops (Aug. 19) and joining Yonge and Podolak in the pits will be former A-Main winners Kyle Drum, Jeff VanDusen, Bubby Kerrick and local favorite Rick Wilson. Wilson will head the Canadian contingent which also includes Alain Bergeron, Steve Poirier and Michael Parent.
New for 2006 is a Saturday night race night which will help in possibly making a record car count for ESS at Brockville. June 3rd is the date, Brockville, Ontario, Canada is the site, the nativepoker.com Tour for the Empire Super Sprints are coming to town and it will be excitement guaranteed!!
