Season is coming ...

The official calendar of ESS is almost setup and Team Bergeron is ready for the new 2005 season. The first race is scheduled to be Sunday, May 8th at Weedsport NY for a 31 races season.

Until that, the team should participate to various trade shows where the fans will be able to see the Sprint Car and discuss with team members, as well with Alain Bergeron.

"We hope to have more luck than last year as we had 3 big accidents and blow up and engine. We had ups and downs in 2004 with a win at Drummond and some other good results, but we also had some frustations over the year but the team never gave up and worked hard to have the car ready race after race. Finally we were unable to complete the season because of a broken hand, result of the accident at Granby in September.", said Alain Bergeron.

In 2005, Carquest, Domaine de l'Erable, Castrol, Joe Boucher and Concept Fini Meuble are coming back as major sponsors. Others major suppliers of Sprint Car components, DMI and Real Wheels, are supporting Team Bergeron in 2005.

New team members joined Team Bergeron in 2005. Eric Rioux and Eric Tetreault are joining Hugo St-Germain, Luc Croteau, Nathalie Boulay, Alexandre Hade, Alain Forcier and Pat Dauphinais.

Recall:

In 2005, Alain Bergeron is in his sixth season with the very competitive series, the Empire Super Sprints ( ESS).

Bergeron was the first Canadian to win a Sprint Car race with the ESS in 2000. Sprint Cars are one of the most popular type of racing in the United Sates and at the end of the 2001 season, in his second year driving a Sprint Car, he had the most wins of any driver in the series with 3.

Throughout this season, we will inform you of his results and various news from Team Bergeron, while Alain will be on the road competing to the best of his abilities.

Alain Bergeron's hometown is Saint-Pie-de-Bagot and he is a former champion in Mini-Sprint and ATV, both on dirt and ice surfaces.
