SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The final event of the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) Tour 2002 will take place Saturday night, November 16, at the Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, N.Y.  The annual awards banquet will conclude the 19th season for ESS and a record point fund payoff will greet the stars of the past year.

More than $38,000 cash will be distributed among 26 different drivers.  Along with the $5000 VSM Abrasives Canadian Invasion point fund, the $1000 Walt's Hobby Dash Series fund, the Brodix Cylinder Heads heat race point fund of $1000 as well as many other cash sponsors the top drivers from the 2002 season will be handed over $48,000 in cash.  To go along with over $20,000 in contingencies, the 19th season proved to be the most lucrative in ESS history.

During the night drawings for many special product giveaways will take place.  Brodix Cylinder Heads, Simpson Safety, Extreme Racewear, Schoenfeld Headers, Hank's Performance Products, Hi-Performance Racing Cards, Zemco Headers, Weld Motorsports, VRP Shocks and Area Auto Racing News are the companies contributing.  ESS would also like to welcome Mike Lutz and his 1 Block set up blocks and Dave Blaney Racing as the newest sponsors to the tour and they also will be a part of the drawings.

Other awards and bonuses will also come from Hazlitt Vineyards, Earl's Indy, Tire Competition East and Goodyear Tires, Design 500, MSD Ignitions, Sander Engineering, Outerwears Company, Red's Speed Shop, Kreitz Oval Track Parts, DSR Fuel Systems, Saldana Racing Products,  Keen Speed Equipment,  Car-Mate Trailers, KSE Racing Products, DMI, Sway-A-Way, Top Flight Wings, Behrent's Performance Warehouse and Mechanix Wear, Bailey Racing Products, Leaf Racewear, Winters Performance Products, American Racer Tires, Joe Hunt Magnetos, Gaerte Engines, ATL Fuel Cells and MRE Productions.
