Two speedways in the Mid-Atlantic region will kick off their 1998 racing season this weekend. Lincoln Speedway, near Hanover, PA., will start their season on Saturday afternoon with Hagerstown (MD) Speedway kicking off their season on Sunday afternoon.

Lincoln Speedway will once again feature the venerable central Pennsylvania sprint cars, known throughout the area as the Pennsylvania Posse. Thundercars will join the sprints on the card Saturday afternoon at Lincoln. Gates open at noon, with hot laps at 1:30 and racing at 2:00 p.m.. On Sunday afternoon, the sprint cars of the Pennsylvania Posse will travel south of the Mason-Dixon to Hagerstown Speedway, just west of Hagerstown, MD on Route 40. Hagerstown Speedway's regular top division, the Late Models, will join the sprint cars on Sunday afternoon for a full card of afternoon racing.
