TULSA, Okla. (September 21, 2005) -- The launch point for the American Sprint Car Series on Tour in 2006 has been determined, as the series will kick off East Bay Raceway Park's Winter Nationals on January 26-28, 2006, in Tampa, FL.

The Eighth Annual "King of the 360's" Winter Nationals, which culminates with the $10,000-to-win Ronald Laney Memorial, will be the opening leg of the Fast Lane Apparel Triple Crown Challenge.

"We're looking forward to having the American Sprint Car Series at East Bay Raceway Park for the first time," commented track president Al Varnadore. "Having the ASCS on Tour here will be a great way to kick off nine nights of Sprint Car racing!"

The three-night event will open the 2006 season for the ASCS on Tour, which will include a full schedule of 50-60 races throughout the nation.

The event also kicks off nine nights of racing at East Bay Raceway Park. Following the ASCS on Tour's "King of the 360's" from January 26-28, three nights of wingless 410-ci Sprint car action will follow with the O'Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT on January 30, January 31 and February 1. Winged 410-ci sprints wrap up the week on February 2-4.

With the Fast Lane Apparel Triple Crown Challenge in effect, any driver that can capture two of the three portions of East Bay's Winter Nationals will earn a $5,000 bonus. If a driver can top the final night of all three portions, it will be worth another $50,000.
