GIBSONTON, FL - In the biggest mini-stock feature ever held in Florida, Mike Smith won the Budweiser Mr. Mini-Stock title and $2500 Saturday at East Bay Raceway. In a rain delayed 25-lap feature, a five car blanket finish saw Smith nose out Forrest Gough, Scotty Williams, Don Day and Ronald Botts.

In the 25-lap sprint car main, Joe Melnick won his first feature of the year as he nipped Brady Alvis. Taylor Andrews, Johnny Gilbertson and Roland Johnson completed the top five. Returning from a weekend of racing in Pennsylvania, Kenny Adams flipped his sprinter after steering box failure. Gene Lasker flipped after leading the first 13 laps. Leading the race, Paulie Milum crashed into the turn four wall on lap 18, handing the lead to Melnick.

Forrest Gough won the limited late model main over Roger Crouse. Danny McCall edged out Paul Davis in the street stock feature, while Bobbie Alexander grabbed the lead on lap 17 to nose out Keith Nosbisch in the late model main. Donnie Tanner, Jack Nosbisch Jr. and Ken Nosbisch were next.
