PORTLAND, Mich. -- Dustin Daggett spent this past weekend in the Buckeye State with his 360 and 410-sprint cars. Daggett raced at Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday and scored a second place finish in the Sprints on Dirt/National Racing Alliance Shootout, then led the first of two 410 sprint car features at Fremont Speedway before scoring a top 10-finish.

"We were really fast, and the track was a lot nicer this year," said Daggett after Friday night. "Our Maxim car was really nice, but unfortunately we ran out of time to catch the leader".

Daggett, who was the winner last year during the SOD/NRA shootout at Lima, started 12th at Limaland and worked his way up to second position during the 25-lap feature event before running out of time to catch eventual winner J.R. Stewart. Daggett will have another race against the NRA Sprint Invaders this Saturday at the Butler Battlegrounds in Quincy, Michigan.

Saturday Daggett made his first 410-sprint car start at Fremont Speedway during a twin feature program. Daggett started on the pole and battled back and forth for the lead for several laps with Todd Heller before a red flag for a crash in turn three. After the handling on Dustin's car went away. Daggett battled on thought and soldiered to an 8th place finish.

The second feature was totally inverted from the finish of the first event. Daggett finished in that event.

"We are getting closer on our setups at Fremont, but we're still off in the feature event," said Daggett. "Hopefully we can figure this place out by the end of the year".

This weekend Daggett returns to Sprints on Dirt action in his backyard Friday at Ionia Raceway Park in Ionia, Michigan. From there, SOD heads down the road to Butler. For more information visit Dustin Daggett's official website at www.dustindaggett.com.
