Geldart geared up for appearance at Volusia!
(Tampa Bay, Fl 2-7-05) With East Bay now in the rear view mirror the defending Southern Ontario Sprints Champion now has his sites on Volusia. Cody Geldart is eagerly awaiting the challenge that the big 1/2 mile will present not to mention a field filled with exceptional talent. This will be the start of the youngsters quest for "Rookie of the Year" honors with the All Stars.
The team has plans to run all of the All Star scheduled events and hopefully additional World of Outlaw events. With a new Hampshire power plant mounted in the team's Eagle Chassis the Ohsweken 6G is poised and ready to take on all comers.
"I learned alot down here racing with these guys." said Geldart, "I really like a big track that is built for speed. We have a good team and it's just an on going learning process for me. The 410 is a lot different than a 360. Setting yourself up to come out of the turns is critical as is qualifying. At East Bay we had some decent times the last 2 nights, but here with the competition you have to be in the top ten and run well in your heat race to be in the big show."
"We have set our goal at winning the rookie title with the All Stars" he continued "I know that it will be a challenge and I am ready for it. Chad (Kemenah) has been great with advice and encouragement. The more seat time I get in these 410's all the better and we want to improve with each week. Looking around here it is like a who's who of sprints and to run with these guys and maybe beat of a few of them will be incredible."
