(LAKE PERRIS, CA SEPTEMBER 17, 2001) USAC racing star Bud Kaeding has expressed his intent to compete in the 6th Annual Budweiser/Temecula Valley Pipe and Supply Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway on November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The three-day event will pay a whopping $25,000.00 to win. That is the largest winner's purse in Non Wing Sprint Car racing.

Kaeding, a third generation driver from Campbell, California, currently sits 6th in the USAC Stoops Freightliner National Sprint Car point standings. The popular 21 year-old has posted one USAC win in 2001 and has 13 top ten finishes in 22 outings.

Kaeding dominated the competition in the 1999 USAC Western Sprint Car Series and won the prestigious Championship. In 2000, he moved back to the Midwest and was named USAC National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year.

In entering the Oval Nationals, the handsome 21-year-old will square off against his legendary Sprint Car racing father Brent Kaeding. The elder Kaeding has won an unprecedented 24 titles in Northern California (13 NARC and 11 Golden State Challenge Series) since 1982. Included in his titles is the 2001 G.S.C.

Other early entries include Northern California's Eric Rossi, USAC star J.J. Yeley and multi-time Arizona main event winner "Bullet" Bob Ream.
