Powder Puff Too
(Bloomington, Ind. - August 12, 2001) After an exciting Five Crown Nationals, we're back to our regular non winged sprint, O'Neal Wood Products Modified, and Tire & Wheel Center Super Stock program on August 24. This time-tested program offers something for everyone; and the competition is so close that every race is likely to be decided by inches.
Not only will we have a great racing program on the famous red clay; but HARF members can attend for half price. Hoosier Auto Racing Fans members are some of the best supporters of grass roots racing anywhere; and it is our pleasure to say "thank you" to these nice folks by inviting them to see a great racing program for only $5.00. Our normal $10 charge for grandstand admission is certainly a bargain; but HARF members can get even a bigger bargain.
This will be the final non winged sprint car show of the season. Don't miss it. In addition to the exciting racing program, non winged sprint car fans will see their favorite drivers recognized for their season's performance. Awards will be presented to the top ten sprint car drivers for the season. Special awards will be presented to the Rookie of the Year and the Most Improved Driver.
August 24 will be the next to the last points race for O'Neal Wood Products Open Wheel Modifieds and the Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks and these intrepid warriors will be doing everything possible to improve their position in their respective points races. Knowing that they have improved their positions in the points races by one spot can often mean more to these guys than the prize money that they earn.
As if all of this weren't enough, we will also have a powder puff race. We have no clue which ladies will choose to compete; but you can be certain that they will make it exciting.
General admission for this event is only $10; and pit admission is $20. As always, children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Coolers are allowed; but glass containers are strictly forbidden. Parking and overnight camping are free. END
