Bloomington Speedway rained out

BLOOMINGTON, IN (April 25, 2003) - Mike Miles and his Bloomington Speedway staff worked all week preparing the track for the GLOSS winged sprint cars. However, about midnight the rains started; and it has rained continuously since.

Since rains are predicted to continue all day and since the track has already taken on so much water that it would be impossible to get the track prepared if the rain stopped now, Mike Miles decided to cancel the race before the competitors and fans traveled many miles to attend a race that could not be run. The folks at Bloomington Speedway appreciate the support these people give us all year; and we won't let the weatherman inconvenience them if we can help it.

The GLOSS winged sprint cars will be back to Bloomington Speedway on August 22nd as scheduled. Because of scheduling conflicts, tonight's race will not be rescheduled.

Any tickets won in various radio promotions will be honored for our May 2 race.

The next racing program at Bloomington Speedway, the Tribute to Dizz Wilson, will be held on May 2 (next Friday night) and will feature non winged sprint cars, O'Neal Wood Products Open Wheel Modifieds, and Indiana Super Stocks. This will be HARF Night.
