BLOOMINGTON, IN (June 1, 2001) - This is starting to get old. It has hardly stopped raining since last week. It was obvious that tonight's show was in peril Thursday when it rained about all day. Then, Bloomington Speedway was hit by a hard rain last night. However, the early morning news promised a morning of sunshine to help us dry the track. Unfortunately, we had no sunshine to go with the drizzle that fell all morning. There was simply no way to dry the track enough for competition; and the pits were worse. About 2:30 PM Mike Miles came to the difficult conclusion that there was absolutely no way for us to race tonight.

We should be back in competition next Friday night, weather permitting. We will feature non winged sprint cars, O'Neal Wood Products Open Wheel Modifieds, and Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks. With all of the rainouts that we've had each race becomes more and more important to the battle for the Bloomington Speedway championships. All of our competitors should be present to defend their position in the points battles.

The June 8 program is also WKST 92.7 Discount Night. We have a lot of loyal Bloomington Speedway fans in Spencer and all of Owen County. As the "thank you" to these great fans and through the cooperation of WKST 92.7, a coupon will be published in the Spencer newspaper good for $2.00 off of the regular grandstand admission price. This coupon makes the normally modest cost of an evening of racing at Bloomington Speedway an even bigger bargain.

Plan now to be in attendance at Bloomington Speedway on June 8.
