ASCS2 Gears Up for Creek County on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. (July 31, 2007) -- The best in Micro Sprint racing return to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK, as the American Small Car Series (ASCS2) takes to the quarter-mile clay oval this Sunday night, August 5.

Three classes of Micros, including the 600cc-Multis, Non-Wing and Restricted "A" Classes will be in action as ASCS2 brings the tripleheader of Micro Sprint racing action to Creek County Speedway for the third time this season.

Ryan Duke, Alex DeCamp and Tanner Mullens each lead their respective divisions into Sunday night's card, with hot laps beginning at 7:00 p.m. and racing action going green at 7:30 p.m.

After topping the Multi feature in the series most recent event at Caney Speedway on July 22, Ryan Duke holds a 21-point lead over Chris Berreth in the ASCS2 Multi championship points race, with Zach Alley, Billy Lawhead and two-time ASCS2 feature winner Scott Sawyer rounding out the top five.

With four winners in as many features for the Non-Wing division, Alex DeCamp holds a meager two-point lead over Joel Smith, with Harlan Hulsey, Jim Woods and Andrew Felker rounding out the top five. The top four in points are separated by just 14 points.

By virtue of winning two of four Restricted "A" Class main events, Kansas shoe Tanner Mullens has opened up a 33-point advantage over Blake Hahn, with Kyler Ray, Brandon Hahn and Blake Edwards rounding out the current top five.

Following Sunday night's event, the ASCS2 Non-Wing Micros will join the O'Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour 'N Topless 410-ci Sprint Car card at Creek County Speedway on Thursday night, August 16.

All three ASCS2 divisions will then return to Creek County Speedway on Sunday night, September 2.
