O'Reilly ASCoT Adds Tri-State Firecracker Special

TULSA, Okla. (June 8, 2006) -- The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series is set for a double dose of Fourth of July weekend racing action with the addition of Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK, on Saturday night, July 1.

The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour will take to the high-banked, 3/8-mile Tri-State Speedway clay oval, just across the state line from Fort Smith, AR, for the track's 35th Annual Firecracker Special.

From there, the series moves on to the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, MO, on Monday night, July 3.

The series July 1 visit to Tri-State Speedway marks the fifth consecutive year for the O'Reilly ASCS National Tour to tackle the high-banked clay oval. Gary Wright topped the series debut at Tri-State in 2002, with Darren Stewart racing to victory lane in both 2003 and 2004. Last year, Oregon's Roger Crockett snared Tri-State glory.

The Tri-State to Sedalia Fourth of July weekend double will follow on the heels of upcoming O'Reilly ASCoT events at Oklahoma City's State Fair Speedway on June 23 and Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX, on June 24. The June 24 event at Devil's Bowl Speedway will kick off with feature events from the rain-interrupted March 17 card in Mesquite, followed by a full card of racing action, making for an action-packed night of double feature events.
