All Stars Anticipate Season Opener at Paducah April 2

CAMARGO, IL -- The opening race for the Haulmark All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars is only a month away. The kickoff for the 25th anniversary All Star season is Friday night April 2 at Kentucky's Paducah International Raceway. The event will be followed by a Saturday night show at St. Francois County Speedway in Farmington, MO on April 3.

Over the past 24 seasons, All Star season openers have gone to famous drivers like Alan Barr, Brad Doty, Kenny Schrader, Kenny Jacobs, Doug Wolfgang, Rock Hodges, Joe Gaerte, Steve Smith, Johnny Mackison, Jr., Joey Saldana, Dave and Dale Blaney, Terry McCarl, Danny Lasoski, Greg Hodnett and Lance Dewease. Who will be the next driver to join this illustrious list?

All the regular All Star competitors in "America's Series" are expected to be on hand for the first points race of the season. Anticipated entries include defending champion Chad Kemenah, Greg "The Kid" Wilson, Flyin' Ryan Coniam, Bill Rose, Barry Ruble, Dale Blaney and Kelly Kinser. Canadian driver Coniam will debut his new ride, teaming up with Ohio car owner Pete Grove. A bumper crop of drivers are expected to contend for 2004 Rookie-Of-The-Year honors. It will be the first chance to earn rookie points for the likes of Tim Hunter, Jon Agan, Chad Blonde, Brock Mayes, James High, Eddie Lynch, Jan Howard, Paul May and Ben Rutan.
