National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) challenges All Stars May 9-10 in "Rumble on the Prairie"
CAMARGO, IL -- "Go West Young Man" is the catchphrase made famous by Horace Greeley. The Haulmark All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars will follow his advice and head west to challenge the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) cars and stars for the first of 15 challenge events on May 9 at Wichita's 81 Speedway. The next night, May 10, the two-race "Rumble on the Prairie" concludes at Jetmore Motoplex in Jetmore, KS.
Jetmore hosted the All Stars for the first time in 2001, with Danny Smith visiting victory lane there, and 81 has hosted the series a total of seven times, with Jason Johnson the most recent winner last season.
The All Stars and the NCRA will challenge each other a total of 15 times this season. The dates are: May 9, 81 Speedway, Wichita, KS; May 10, Jetmore Motoplex, Jetmore, KS; May 16, West Virginia Motor Speedway, Mineral Wells, WV; May 17, K-C Raceway, Chillicothe, OH; May 18, Tri-State Speedway, Haubstadt, IN; June 20-21, Delta Bowl Speedway, Tunica, MS ($10,000 to win Sat.); July 25, Capital Speedway, Holts Summit, MO; July 26, Tri-City Speedway, Granite City, IL; Aug. 1-2, Knoxville Raceway (Pella Classic), Knoxville, IA; "Thunder Through The Plains": Aug. 18, Outlaw Motor Speedway, Muskogee, OK; Aug. 20, Mid-Nebraska Speedway, Doniphan, NE; Aug. 22, 81 Speedway; Aug. 23, Tulsa Speedway, Tulsa, OK.
"America's Series, The All Star Circuit of Champions" will present a slate of over 60 sprint car race dates in 2003 from February to October in action at 31 speedways in 17 states. America's favorite dirt track series has presented fans with the largest average car count and greatest number of different race winners in the United States since 1980.
