O'Reilly Midwest All Stars Series Releases 2008 Schedule

The 2008 campaign is set for the O'Reilly Midwest All Star Series. Racers and fans alike will be thrilled to see the fastest drivers of the Midwest duke it out with their fire-breathing mud-slingers at 22 events, spanning 5 states.

The series will begin the 2008 season on April 11th and carry events through October 10th. The path to a championship will include many consecutive night events, including a two-night show at famed Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana in conjuction with the All Star Circuit of Champion's Hoosier Fall Classic.

The sophomore season is set to begin and end at the same venue, Benton, Missouri's Benton Motor Speedway. The Missouri hot-spot will showcase the series a total of 5 times in 2008, including a coveted date on July 4th.

The "Best in the Midwest" has grown to include a few new tracks for the series. Just a couple to watch for will be when the series takes to the steep banks of Quincy, Illinois' Quincy Raceway and the "D" shaped 3/8 mile Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Favorite tracks such as Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois and Paragon Speedway in Paragon, Indiana will once again be on the Midwest All Star schedule. Driver turnout is anticipated to be stout at both events as many drivers with local ties to those tracks will attempt to "guard their porch" from the ensuing traveling invasion.

All in all it is shaping up to be a great season for fans, owners, and drivers alike. Every point counts towards the crowning of the one driver that will be able to claim they are the "Best of the Midwest." Jerrod Hull claimed the inaugural honors in 2007 and will return to defend his championship in 2008.
