Limaland and Fremont host All Stars April 25-26.
CAMARGO, IL -- "America's Series: The All Star Circuit of Champions" sprint cars make their first appearances of the season at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, OH and Fremont Speedway in Fremont, OH on Friday and Saturday April 25-26.
The Friday night Limaland program will be the 20th appearance for the series on the high-banked quarter mile since 1990. The winner of the last All Star race at Lima was Dale Blaney during Ohio Speedweek in 2002, and the series will visit for Speedweek again on July 4th.
Previous Limaland winners include 8/19/83 Kenny Jacobs, 8/25/90 Danny Smith, 6/1/91 Kelly Kinser, 7/27/91 and 6/19/92 Rickey Hood, 6/3/94 Frankie Kerr, 10/1/94 Kevin Huntley, 5/5/95 Dale Blaney, 6/23/95 Frankie Kerr, 7/7/95 Kelly Kinser, 6/21/96 Dale Blaney, 7/5/96 Van Gurley, Jr., 7/4/97 Tyler Walker, 7/3/98 Kevin Huntley, 5/29/99 Kelly Kinser, 7/2/99 Joey Saldana, 6/30/00 Phil Gressman, 7/6/01Greg Wilson and 7/5/02 Dale Blaney.
On April 26, "America's Series: The All Star Circuit of Champions" comes to Fremont Speedway for Fort Ball Pizza Night. The 305 sprints are also on the racing card. This will mark the 72nd appearance of the All Stars at Fremont Speedway since 1980. The All Stars will make three more appearances at "The Track That Action Built" - July 1, July 3, and Sept. 6.
Last year saw five different winners during All Star events at Fremont. Four-time All Star champion Kenny Jacobs scored his first career All Star win at Fremont (his 96th overall All Star win) on June 8. Kelly Kinser picked up the July 2 Speedweek victory, with 2001 and 2002 Fremont Track Champion John "Poison" Ivy scoring the July 4 Speedweek win. Shane Stewart covered the All Star field at Fremont on Sept. 6, with Dale Blaney taking the victory the following night.
"America's Series, The All Star Circuit of Champions" will present a slate of over 60 sprint car race dates in 2003 from February to October in action at 31 speedways in 17 states. America's favorite dirt track series has presented fans with the largest average car count and greatest number of different race winners in the United States since 1980.
