FREMONT, Ohio (June 4) - Fremont Speedway promoter Jim Ford has announced several changes to the 2002 schedule.

The All Star Circuit of Champions will try for the third time in 2002 to compete at "The Track That Action Built" on Saturday, June 8. This make-up show is sponsored by Wilhelm Auto Parts and will pay $5,000 to win for the All Star Sprints. It promises to be highly competitive show...in fact, there have been nine different winners in the last nine All Star shows at Fremont.

The 305 sprints and dirt trucks will also be in competition on June 8.

Also, the Budweiser 40, which was rained out on May 25, will be run on Tuesday, July 2, when Fremont hosts the third leg of the All Star Ohio Sprint Speedweek. The feature will pay $6,000 to win and $500 to start. The dirt trucks will also be on the racing card.

The fifth leg of the All Star Ohio Sprint Speedweek will run at Fremont on Thursday, July 4, and thanks to Miller Beer sponsorship, will also pay $6,000 to win and $500 to start. The 305 sprints will compete that night also.

Other big shows coming up at Fremont include:

*Friday, Sept. 6, Auto Value Night, featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions plus the dirt trucks.

*Saturday, Sept. 7, The Second Annual Chuck Kear Memorial, featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions paying $6,000 to win and $500 to start. It will also be manufacturer's giveaway night - last year over $11,000 worth of goods and cerfiticates were given to the drivers. The 305 sprints will also be in competition.
