Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has Riviera Racing Poised for Precision Laced Performance in Hunt for SCORE Championship

Laguna Hills, CALIFORNIA -- Never mind that the fourth race in the six race 2007 SCORE Desert Series is a short-course crowd-pleasing battle fest versus the standard point-to-point desert race. Riviera Racing's Team Owner, Mark Post, has positioned the ever-so-dominant jet black #3 SCORE Trophy Truck in striking position for the 2007 SCORE Trophy Truck Championship.

Joining the team at the beginning of the season, Rob MacCachren, has brought his top rated driving skills to a team that has flirted with dominating seasons in the past. Riviera Racing has captivated desert racing fans for over a decade, but this year has proven to be one that few will forget. Setting the mark for the competition by winning three of the first five races, Riviera Racing has combined the excellence of two top racers with the precision prep of the race truck in their hunt for the ultimate winning season.

"The season has started off well. We have had strong performances at each race, which includes wins at the Parker 425, Baja 250 and Terrible's Town 250 and we finished in the top five in the other two races, SCORE Laughlin and the Baja 500. With six races left in the season, three in each series, I'm confident that we will have a strong finish, but there are many miles in front of us," explained MacCachren.

In what will be the third anniversary of the SCORE Terrible's Cup race, Riviera Racing is all business as they march towards the second half of a championship season. Two of off road racing's fastest drivers, Mark Post and Rob MacCachren, will push the #3 Trophy Truck on both Friday and Saturday evening in front of thousands of fans who are expected to turnout for the SCORE Terrible's CUP III extravaganza. Held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, SCORE Trophy Trucks will be featured in the main event under the lights of Las Vegas.

"We're up against the nation's top off road racers. Although the format is different than the normal desert race, we are prepared to be highly competitive in this short course race. Both Rob and I will put the Jim Blackmore-prepped Riviera Trophy Truck through the paces. With this year's event included in the point's race, I expect that we'll be in the hunt throughout the weekend. This race marks the halfway point of the season and we have plans to continue our fast pace in the desert."

With a total of five wins each in the SCORE Trophy Truck ranks, Mark Post and Rob MacCachren, have situated Riviera Racing a mere three points out of the lead in the year long race for the SCORE Trophy Truck Championship. Post commented, "It may be close in points, but we've just started clicking and you can count on Riviera Racing to charge hard all the way to the end of the season. This is more than just a championship."

Riviera Racing invites friends, fans and sponsors to visit the Riviera Racing Pit Zone at the SCORE Terrible's CUP III in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 19-21. Visit www.scorelasvegas.com for tickets and information regarding this event.
