LOS ANGELES--As the final days of pre-running begin, a SCORE-record field will be part of this weekend's 39th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 500. Round 3 of the six-race 2007 SCORE Desert Series will be held in Ensenada, Mexico, 65 miles south of the U.S. border at San Diego.

With late entries accepted up until race morning, 510 official entries are in the field to date, including 286 Cars and Trucks and 224 Motorcycles and ATVs.

Pre-race festivities will be held Thursday and Friday with racing on the rugged 420.11-mile course on Saturday starting with the motorcycle and ATV classes at 6 a.m. followed by the car and truck classes at approximately 10 a.m. Starting in either 15 or 30-second intervals in the elapsed-time race, vehicles will have an 18 hour time limit to complete the course and become an official finisher in the world's second-oldest desert race.
