Honolulu, Hawaii (February 8, 2006) - Alan Pflueger and his Monster Energy Pflueger Racing Team are looking forward to next month's San Felipe 250. The native Hawaiian won the 2003 San Felipe 250 in the Pro Truck division and is confident that he and his team can re-visit the winner's stand this year in his No. 28 Monster Energy Drink Chevrolet Silverado Trophy Truck.

"We are ready to race," Pflueger said. "This team has spent weeks preparing for this race, and we know what it takes to win it. We finished second in our class in the 2005 Baja 1000, and finished seventh in Laughlin. We are running well, but this team is hungry to return to the winner's stand. They've given me the equipment, now we've got to go out and perform."

The 240-mile adventure will be run over a single-loop, desert course with a 10-hour time limit to complete the race. The race will start in San Felipe, Mexico, beginning on the Gulf of California side and heading north through the coastal desert before veering south through the desert and mountains. Racers then will dash east toward the coast before sprinting north to the finish at San Felipe. Thousands of spectators are expected to watch the race.

"San Felipe is sandy, fast and intense, with rough terrain," Pflueger said. "It really beats you up. It's going to be a battle and you have to want to win."

Entering the race, Pflueger currently sits in seventh place in the points standings with 41, only 17 points behind leader B.J. Baldwin.
