Inaugural Season Documentary of the Jetta TDI Cup to Air on SPEED Saturday
HERNDON, Va. (Nov. 21, 2008) -- Relive the excitement of the inaugural season of the Jetta TDI Cup, as 30 young, ambitious drivers compete in clean diesel Volkswagen Jettas for a chance to win $100,000 in the world's first green racing series.The documentary follows the personal stories of the drivers both on and off the track, from 16-year-old karting champ Liam Kenney to 26 year old Iraqi war veteran Mark Pombo, as they compete in an eight race series across the U.S. and Canada and learn the ins and outs of a professional race series.

The purpose of this series was two fold.First, promote clean diesel as a viable alternative fuel in the U.S. and to help shape the professional racing careers of 30 young, aspiring drivers.
