Richert to Challenge Famed Road America
Race car driver, David Richert, is off to Wisconsin this upcoming weekend for Round 6 of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. The event will be taking place in conjunction with the American Le Mans Series at one of North America's greatest racing circuits, Road America.
Road America is located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, midway between the cities of Green Bay and Milwaukee. A 14 turn, 4.048 mile monster of a track, featuring one of the most intimidating corners in all of racing called "The Kink", Road America can be a driver's greatest dream or worst nightmare. The list of drivers who have come home victorious at the circuit include names like Mario Andretti, Jacques Villeneuve, Emerson Fittipaldi, and many more.
Coming off a disappointing finish at the Autobahn Grand Prix, Richert would like to make amends at Road America and not only bring his race car home in one piece, but to leave the track with a Top 10 finish. "The speed is coming and we're starting to run with the front guys so it's a lot more fun in my position right now" said Richert, "I absolutely have to keep my car in one piece, as my home race in Canada is just around the corner, but the competitor in me is really pushing towards taking some more risks on the track so we'll see what happens".
Samaritan's Purse Update

Through Five races, David Richert Racing has raised just over $3,200 which will be purchase 32 filters and provide clean water to 256 people in impoverished parts of the world. His goal is to raise $6,000 during the 10 race season to purchase 60 filters. If you would like to be a part of supporting this project, please visit the Team David page at RichertRacing.com.
