Stohr D Sports Racers do more than sweep runoffs
Unprecedented 1-2-3-4-8 finish
In one of the most dominant performances ever recorded in Runoff history, Mark Jaremco led a group of Stohr D Sports Racing cars to finish on the top of the podium at the recent 2003 SCCA National Championships at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Matthew Direnzo followed in the runner up position and was joined on the podium by Mark Bakhit. To make things even sweeter, Jay Lovett finished fourth and Ellen Ferguson crossed the line in eighth, each more than enjoying the excellence offered in the Stohr race cars.
"No one should even dream of achieving a result such as this," stated Stohr Racing Cars founder and designer Lee Stohr. "We knew we had a good car and some very good drivers but this result is far beyond anyone's expectation."
The win marked the second straight year Jaremko has gained the National Championship in a Stohr DSR entry. It certainly is evidence that the Stohr DSR is rapidly becoming the chassis to have in the growingly competitive D Sports Racer class..
Jaremko, of Spokane, WA, driving the Jaremko Nissan Saab entry was quick to recognize the capabilities of the Stohr equipment. "This car is just flat outstanding. It really brings DSR to a new level of performance and it is affordable. Here we are in a car that laps closely to Atlantics times, shifting with paddles, driving such a responsive car, what more could one ask for?"
Stohr has announced plans for new facilities to increase production as well as offering some new racing products. They appear to be a force to be watched in coming years.
