Sports Car Club America: Goodyear drivers posted 12 national championship victories and grabbed 34 podium finishes in the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The Runoffs include 24 classes, 23 of which are open to competition between tiremakers. Goodyear's win total in the open classes was larger than all other tiremakers combined.

Mike Cyphert, the winner in the GT3 class, completed amateur racing's Triple Crown with his victory. Nine drivers came to the Runoffs with a shot at the Triple Crown, five of them on Goodyear tires. Cyphert, a Goodyear racer, was the only driver to convert on the opportunity.

Other Goodyear winners included Wilson Wright (GT4), Thomas Oates (T2), Bob Hahn (A Sedan), Brad Stout (Formula Vee), Bob Weber (H Production), John Heinricy (T1), Duane Davis (GT2), Kent Prather (G Production), Mark Jaremko (D Sport Racer), Joe Huffaker (GT5) Jaime Bach (Formula Mazda) and Mike Cyphert (GT3).
