November 6, 2003: King Rat Motorsports, a race-winning Honda/Acura and Porsche 944 race preparation and racecar rental shop, and the Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America announced today that King Rat Motorsports has joined the contingency prize program for the 6th Annual Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point to be held June 4-5, 2004 at Summit Point Raceway. Though King Rat Motorsports has previously participated as an entrant and team sponsor, this will be the first year King Rat Motorsports has been an official sponsor of the event.

"King Rat Motorsports is excited to be working together with the SCCA DC Region as an official sponsor for this event," said Kim Ratcliffe, President of King Rat Motorsports. Ratcliffe and husband/co-owner, Alex, both hold multiple competition racing licenses and have been involved in race organization. According to Ratcliffe, "King Rat Motorsports has seen a race from both sides of the steering wheel and we are happy to help out both the Region and our fellow competitors. We think that this is an excellent way to demonstrate the quality King Rat Motorsports puts into every car we prepare or rent."

"I cannot tell you how happy we are to have King Rat Motorsports as part of the Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point," said Jeff Janoska of the Region. Janoska added that, "When we approached King Rat Motorsports about being a sponsor, they didn't hesitate and simply asked what they could do."

The event, like all SCCA races at Summit Point is open to spectators and will take place rain or shine. More event information can be found at www.12hoursatthepoint.org
