</pre> St. Johns, Arizona is approximately 200 miles northeast of Phoenix in the White Mountains. The beautiful Airport is at 5733 Ft Elevation where temperatures are expected to be in the 80's during the days and the 60's at night. The city is very historic and beautiful, in a beautiful section of the state.

You may reach St. Johns by going through Payson and Show Low from Phoenix, or Globe and Show Low from Tucson or south from I-40 at Holbrook if you are coming from the west, or south from I-40 at Sanders if you are coming from the east.

There are Hotels in St. Johns, Show Low, Pinetop/Lakeside, Springerville, Eager and Sunrise. Campgrounds abound in the area with the closest one at Lyman Lake, a few miles south of St. Johns. You will be able to camp at the Airport as well.

We are looking forward to a lot of Motor Homes, Campers and Tents at the Paddock at the Airport. Power is limited, so plan for a generator. Johns will be available, water is available and grassy space is available as well as paved paddock space.

The race course is 1.65 miles long and uses the Airport runways and
taxiways. It is very nice with one really technical section. We recommend
that you bring extra tires, as airport courses tend to wear tires faster.

The city of St. Johns is planning to have lots of spectators at the event and we will encourage them to visit the NASA members participating by allowing entry to the Paddock Area.

Plan for a great Racing Event with a lot of social activity as well. The city and the local citizens of the area are very enthused about us coming and want us to come back.

If this program works for us, we may be able to do 2 airport events a summer in the White Mountains!

Fuel, tire service, parts stores, and other services will be available for the cars. Food Service, event shirts and other services will be available to the racers and families. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT!

Monday Evening we will have a Barbecue, Awards Ceremony for both the race and street car groups, and local entertainment. It will be a great party. Each entrant gets 2 tickets and more can be purchased for $15 each. Make sure that you plan for your family and crew. Tuesday 4th is Fireworks, Food & Entertainment hosted by the City.
