Alexandria, VA (July 23, 2006) -- MB Racing has changed one of their scheduled event weekends to improve sponsor coverage and assist team scheduling requirements.

A 6-hour endurance karting weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway called the "Charlotte 300" replaces the SCCA event weekend at Summit Point Raceway Labor Day weekend. The team will also participate in a nationwide "Rev it Up" autocross weekend presented by Chevrolet in Washington DC on August 28th.

"We needed to make the race date change to accommodate the schedules of a few team members, and figured we would jump on board for the Chevy "Rev-it-Up" weekend in DC in order to provide our sponsors some additional exposure this year in the Washington DC area," said Team Principal Matt Brown.

"We will still be racing in the SCCA events at VIR in October and again at VIR for our VIP Hot Lap ride along day in December," Brown concluded.

Local DC area sponsors include: Alliance Education Group, OG Racing, Allsports Grand Prix Indoor Karting, Lorelei Studios, and Dr. Janet P. Halsey, DDS.

"We know how important it is to provide all of our sponsors exposure in an effective manner," added Brown. "This will help us do that while taking care of the best partners in the racing business."
