MB Racing Finishes 2007 12 Hours at the Point Second Place in Class.

Alexandria, VA (June 27, 2007) -- MB Racing competed in their first ever 12 hour endurance race at Summit Point Raceway, finishing 2nd in class and 34th overall in the 12 Hour event held annually at the West Virginia circuit. A field of 48 cars took the green flag at 12 PM and when the checkers fell at midnight, the car came to the finish running strong.

MB Racing Team Principal Matt Brown and co-drivers Kirk Knetsis, Jon Kofod, and Phil Phillips all put in solid runs, the latter two taking turns bettering each other for fast lap - Phil ultimately taking the honors, but Jon turning impressive times in the dark along with Brown and Knetsis each taking a turn after the sun disappeared below the horizon.

"We could not have been more pleased with the entire team effort working with Conover Motorsports and Kirk Knetsis to make this whole event happen," said Brown. "In a 12 hour event, anything can happen, and for the most part we experienced it all this weekend," Brown continued. "We would like to thank the entire crew, including our crew chief Benny Folk, photographer Matthew Schmidt, as well as all of our partners who allowed us the opportunity to finish strongly in our first 12 hour event. We can't wait to get back on track with them this Fall," Brown concluded.

"Having MB Racing join Conover Motorsports for the 12 Hour Race at Summit Point was a tremendous experience and we look forward to working with this outstanding team again in the future" stated Conover head man Kirk Knetsis. "The hard work of the entire crew to get the car back on track was nothing short of amazing. VIR should be quite an event as we team together again this Fall".

MB Racing will be on track again in both August and September before rejoining Conover Motorsports for the final event of the season - the 13-Hour "Charge of the Headlight Brigade" at Virginia International Raceway in November. Come out and see MB Racing-- the most professional team on the grid at a track near you.
