** SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA: Jamie Bach, the Wisconsin college student who won the Formula Mazda national championship on Goodyear tires in 2002, is off to a good start this year. Bach won his third pole position of the season and led all 25 laps as he won the class victory in the national event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton, Ill.

Bach recorded the quickest lap of the race on the 24th circuit of the 1.95-mile, seven-turn road course. He finished 10 seconds ahead of Bob Kaminsky, the second-place finisher.

The victory was Bach's first of the season in Formula Mazda competition.
