ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (April 20, 2000)—SCCA Pro Racing has announced that Derhaag Motorsports will sponsor the Pro Spec Racer Rookie of the Year Award and Line-X will sponsor the Fast Three Qualifying.

The Pro Spec Racer Rookie of the Year Award will be presented to the top rookie driver in the season-ending point standings. Derhaag Motorsports will award the winner a trophy along with a check for $1,000. A rookie is classified as a driver that has not run more than three Pro Spec Racer races in any one season and no more than five Pro Spec Racer races in a career.

In 2000, Line-X returns as the sponsor of the Fast Three Qualifying. At each race, Line-X will award $600 to the top three qualifiers-$300 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third. In addition, Line-X will award the 2000 Pro Spec Racer Champion a free Line-X spray-in truck bedliner.

“We are very pleased to have Derhaag Motorsports and Line-X associated with the 2000 Pro Spec Racer season,” said Bob Anderson, Pro Spec Racer Series Manager. “The continuation of the Fast Three Qualifying and addition of the Rookie of the Year Award further enhances the Pro Spec Racer series.”
