On the Portuguese TV last night it was reported that Carlos Sainz has
signed with Ford for 1996. Sainz had a contract with the Toyota team
(TTE), which was banned for 1996.

Finnish sports news program 'Urheiluruutu' told today that the FIA has
decided to ban Team Toyota from WRC, surprisingly for a whole one year's
time. All the drivers - Didier Auriol, Juha Kankkunen and Armin Schwarz
- will lose all their championships points from the 1995 season. The FIA
decision was caused by the found illegalities in Toyota turbo construction.
