The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS ultra started from 2nd position on the grid and like yesterday was embroiled in an epic fight with the Sebastien Loeb Racing McLaren MP4-12C of Sebastien Loeb and Alvaro Parente. The fight for the lead was settled when Parente touched Rast and then a retrospective penalty was given to the #9 McLaren of Loeb/Parente as the 9-time World Rally Champion was adjudged to have unbuckled his seat belts before his car came to rest at the mandatory pit stop. Sebastien Loeb took the chequered flag in the McLaren that bears his name after a thrilling finale to the race. He overtook Niki Mayr-Melnhof’s Belgian Audi Club Team WRT at the hairpin with just 8 minutes remaining to thrill the huge Easter crowd.
In 3rd place was the #1 HTP Gravity Charouz Mercedes of Maximilian Buhl and Alan Day.
