Casey Stoner is perfectly at home on the Phillip Island circuit and
today, the Aussie landed his second consecutive Australian Grand Prix
pole. It wasn't by any means an easy qualifying on the 6.5-mile (10.6
km) circuit. In the closing laps, Stoner and Valentino Rossi traded for
the top spot.

Jorge Lorenzo may have crashed his Yamaha twice in the qualifying
session for the US Grand Prix at the Laguna Seca Raceway today, but he
overcame the incidents to take the pole position for tomorrow's race.
Remarkably, the pole is his fifth of the year, more than all other
riders combined.
