Smith & Davies victorious at Silverstone

In front of a record crowd of 24,500, British drivers Guy Smith and
Jamie Davies scored a win apiece in the opening two rounds of the
British Formula 3 Championship at Silverstone's new International
circuit on March 31. For Smith, it was a dream start to his F3 career -
he began each race from pole position, a remarkable feat for a ... Keep reading

RALPH FIRMAN had cause for a double celebration at Brands Hatch May 27
when he won the fifth and sixth rounds of the British Formula 3
Championship. Twenty-one-year-old Firman was the dominating force all
weekend, claiming pole position and fastest lap for both races as well.

Mollekens on top at Donington

Belgium's Kurt Mollekens became the fifth different winner of the season
as he stroked to a comfortable victory in the eighth round at Donington
Park on June 23. The 23-year-old from Bonheiden started from the second
row of the grid and took advantage when pole-sitter Brian Smith, from
Argentina, stalled at the start.

It was a demoralising mistake by ... Keep reading

Kane splashes to success

Ulsterman Jonny Kane claimed his first ever British Formula 3
Championship win at Snetterton August 11. The Paul Stewart Racing driver
was victorious in a rain-shortened round 11 which was stopped when the
leaders had completed only six laps. The rain didn't let up for the rest
of the afternoon and, with conditions showing no signs of improvement,
round 12 ... Keep reading

Minassian & Kane win at Pembrey

Frenchman Nicolas Minassian and Ulster's Jonny Kane scored a win apiece
in the 12th and 13th rounds of the British Formula 3 Championship at

saw Kane and Minassian clash along the pit straight before Minassian
went on to score his maiden victory. The second race was tame ... Keep reading

Davies scores at Thruxton

THE third round of the British Formula 3 Championship, at Thruxton April
14, is being hailed as the race that had everything. In tricky wet
conditions, championship leader Jamie Davies picked his way through the
field to win his second successive race, albeit a shortened one after
several cars crashed around the Hampshire track.
