Barbasol Bringing Two Lucky Winners To Miller for VIP Experience
Tooele, UT (15 September 2008) --With the inaugural Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup racing toward a championship conclusion this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park, the pace has increased dramatically for two lucky race fans thanks to Barbasol.
The iconic and leading shaving brand in America, Barbasol teamed with the Mustang Challenge to feature the image of the Ford Mustang FR500S as well as the 2008 season schedule on thousands of cans as part of a promotional program that also staged a nationwide contest for a VIP race experience at the season-finale Miller Motorsports Park event.
After a tremendous response, the contest came to a conclusion with last week's selection of Ron Cocklereece of Reardon, Washington as the winner. Cocklereece and one guest will be flown out to the Miller Motorsports Park SunRichGourmet.com event, and will get a weekend of behind-the-scenes access for the championship race weekend.
"I've been a race fan for a long time, but never made it to an event so I'm really looking forward to taking everything in at Miller Motorsports Park next weekend," said Cocklereece. "I was just tickled to get the call that we won! I'm going to take my son, and our wives are probably going to have as much fun with us out of the house as we will at the races!"
The Miller Motorports Park round marks the first race action for the Mustang Challenge on the 4.48-mile facility after six rounds of racing across North America, and Cocklereece will also get to see the start of round eight from one of the most exciting view points possible as he throws the green flag for the race start.
"I am so excited about getting to drop the green flag-I think it's going to be a real heart-stopper!" said Cocklereece. "I'm a fan of a lot of different kinds of racing, but I have a feeling I'll be a big Mustang guy after this weekend!"
Barbasol has posted a presence during every Mustang Challenge race weekend, as the "Beard Busting" shaving cream also sponsors the "Closest Shave of the Race Award", which posts $250 to the driver who emerges with the narrowest margin, no matter where they finish the race.
Round seven of the 2008 season will take the green flag on Friday, September 19, with Sunday hosting the final race of the season at 3:45 PM local time.
