Bessette charges through the rain.

Saint-Eustache, Qc ^Ö ANTOINE BESSETTE showed off his driving skills and lightning fast reflexes as he drove from last to third yesterday in a meeting of the FAQ/Hankook Championship, on a rain-soaked Saint-Eustache Circuit. ANTOINE BESSETTE tasted champagne in his first outing of the Touring GT Series Championship.

"It was all due to a good start, that was it," he said of his sprint past fifteen cars. "I passed a bunch of guys early and then really just held the place after that.^Ô an excited BESSETTE said afterwards.

"These guys at Key Motorsport/Hyundai Motorsports have been absolutely fantastic. We communicate so well together and have tons of respect for each other," concluded BESSETTE.

Team mate Jacques Gravel finished in 4th position, securing his standing in the Championship.

In the Formula Ford 1600 race, VALÉRIE LIMOGES and CHRIS GREEN respectively finished 13th and 14th .

Disqualified from the qualifying session, GREEN drove from 15th to first place, in less than 13 laps, before hitting the race winner Olivier Lambert. He did not complete the race as his suspension got bent in the incident.

"That was my fault," GREEN said, "I screwed up the race by pushing too hard. The car was good though. We kept working at it and making it better all the time."

Starting from the 5th spot, VALÉRIE LIMOGES was hit from behind on the opening lap as she entered a turn. Her car was knocked sideways and spun. She lost precious positions and could not comeback.

The eventful race will first air on RDS August 14 at 5:00pm EST.

The next Canadian Formula Ford Championship event is next weekend in the streets of Trois-Rivières. Team Key Motorsport will participate with both VALÉRIE LIMOGES and CHRIS GREEN, and will try to repeat the winning experience from last year.
