Honda / Michelin Challenge Series (HMCS) participants will compete in a total of 10 events for the 2004 season. While negotiations for the additional five races are close to completion, the list of confirmed races and dates are as follows:
- Canadian Grand Prix (Montreal), June 11-13
- Shannonville Motorsport Park (double header), July 4-5
- Molson Indy Toronto, July 9-11
- Le Circuit Trois-Rivières, August 1
A full race schedule will be announced once all events have been finalized. However, the remaining five races will be hosted at additional locations.
Those wishing to register for the 2004 season should contact Series Director, Ralph Luciw, for a complete form. Sample registration forms will be available at Honda dealerships in Ontario and Quebec in the near future.
In addition to Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. participating as a sponsor, Honda is pleased to announce Alpine Electronics of Canada Inc. will be supporting the HMCS through prize money and merchandise awards.
The 2004 HMCS season is designed to return Honda Canada to the grassroots racing of its past. The single-marque road racing series began in 1975 and continued for 17 years. While the series is currently limited to Ontario and Quebec for the 2004 season, it is expected to expand into western Canada for 2005.
