Mont-Tremblant, June 26, 2004 - Ferrari fans were able to see these magnificent machines in peak form yesterday. Eleven cars fought it out in the Drum Brakes Class, with Peter Giddings, at the wheel of his Maserati 250 F, winning this friendly competition with a time of 2:00.058 followed by Jon Shirley, 2:02.823, and Lawrence Stroll, 2:02.823, in their Testa Rosa 250s.

The first race of the weekend's Ferrari 360 Challenge series started at 3:05. Patrice Brisebois achieved his goal of finishing in the top 10--a very respectable 6th with a time of 1:46.394. Montrealer Emmanuel Anassis was first, followed by Jeff Segal of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and Todd Morici of Clifton, New Jersey. The pilots really had to show their stuff on slippery pavement after a 15-minute cloudburst at the start of the race.

The most exciting race of the day had to be the Disc Brakes class with American Todd Morici, in his 512 BB / LM chassis 38181, giving Lawrence Stroll a run for his money in his Ferrari 512M chassis 1040.

The Ferrari Festival continues tomorrow with a second round of the Ferrari 360 Challenge and Historic Challenge series. It will be the last chance to see these cars so close to Montreal. An opportunity not to be missed!
