The last round of the Ferrari Challenge (which was his home turf) was very disappointing for Max Mugelli. A broken tailpipe during Race 1 prevented Max from conquering a well deserved podium position and a new technical problem in Race 2 forced him to retire.

For this reason, the Tuscan driver is looking forward to racing again to seek redemption for this disappointing result in Mugello (where he however set the fastest time in Race 2).

Moreover, Max has fond memories of the Misano track. Mugelli conquered a 3 place win in 2002 on this track for the world finale of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy.

Just a note: there will be two consecutive races scheduled in Misano for the Ferrari Challenge because the Austrian track of Salzburgring did not get the necessary approval to host the next round.

Max Mugelli

"After the big disappointment at my home race, I'm looking forward to getting back on track to wipe out that result. I hope that Misano will be the place where I can do this. The track is rather demanding from a physical point of view and the heat these days may also be challenging for the tyres. Together with a good physical preparation, I need to have good technical skills that will allow me not to quickly use up the tyres."
