The second round of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy is just around the corner. After the first race of the season in Imola, the Ferrari 360 Modenas will be the protagonists in Monza for a very intense weekend.

For Max Mugelli, Monza represents an opportunity to make up for what happened in the last race. In fact, after a few laps on the Imola track during the sprint race, the Ferrari 360 Modena's driveshaft broke down and this highly influenced the endurance race. The seventh place was however a positive result but Max has other objectives in mind.

The scheduled program includes the sprint race at 11:15 (12 laps) and the endurance race at 15:00 (18 laps) on Sunday April 18th, 2004.

Max Mugelli

"I would like to reach the finish line as often as possible this season without taking any useless risks. I am of course satisfied with the seventh place in Imola but I've set my sights on conquering the podium.

Last year in Monza,I had too many problems:due to a minor contact I finished race 1 with a broken exhaust and in the last positions. Moreover, an accident during race 2 didn't allow me to reach the finishing line of the second race either.I hope that this won't happen again this year.

The start of the race which isn't a cold start is always the most crucial.During the first lap, we encounter a very narrow chicane that all the drivers confront at high velocity and together as a group. Therefore it is important not to get into any possible accidents and not to have any contact that may damage the car and send you off track."
