Leeds, AL (18 July 2008) -- Andrew Caddell made a good impression on his first official day of work for StableOne Racing, setting the fastest Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup time of the day at Barber Motorsports Park with a 1:38.980-second lap in Friday's morning practice. The race weekend is the first with StableOne for the championship points leader, who participated in a Barber driving school to become familiar with the 2.3-mile track layout.

"We've got a great car on new tires, and we are still fighting a little bit of a tight condition, but this is a good way to start the weekend off," said Caddell, who was second fastest in the afternoon session. "The team has been doing a great job and it's been no problem making the adjustment. The guys have made me feel right at home. This is a fun track with some corners that require a lot of patience, and some others where you really have to attack so it's a fun challenge. It's also a beautiful facility, and I'm just looking forward to qualifying and then having a good race car on Sunday."

The afternoon session saw a new name atop the timing sheets, as Ricky Ehrgott paced the field with a 1:40.092 lap in the No. 44 Speedworks R&D machine. Ehrgott, who comes from an oval background with experience in Ford Focus Midgets as well as USAC National Midget competition, is competing in just his second Mustang Challenge race weekend after taking the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School at Miller Motorsports Park before racing in the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course round of Mustang Challenge competition.

"We were struggling a little bit this morning and looking for more speed, but we put some new BFGoodrich Tires on in the afternoon, and we were a ton better after that!" said Ehrgott. "It's been a great challenge going from what I've raced before to this Mustang Challenge series and road racing. You can't hide your flaws with the car like you can in some other categories, so I'm really working to be more versatile, and I can't think of a better way to do that than racing here in the Mustang Challenge."

The grid will be set for Sunday's 45 minute race with a 30 minute qualifying session on Saturday.
