RAPIDLY GROWING one-stop motorsport shop Racer Industries will join the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia in 2009 as the preferred supplier of racing gear and parts.

In the new relationship announced today, Racer Industries will appear at each round of the 2009 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge series and will provide a package of on-track support, prizes and awards to series competitors throughout the year.

A $300 gift voucher will be presented at the conclusion of each round, whilst the 2009 series champion will receive an OMP driving kit - including suit, gloves, boots and helmet - valued at nearly $3000.

In return, Racer Industries branding will feature on every car in the 2009 field, whilst they will also have paddock space at every round to set up an at-track store to support series competitors.

"We're very happy to have Racer Industries on board for 2009," Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia Category Administrator Jodi Zylstra said.

"One of our aims is to reduce the costs of racing for our competitors and this new relationship with Racer Industries will achieve not only that, but also offer up some fantastic prizes for our drivers to fight for over the course of the season.

"Racer Industries have rapidly established themselves as a high quality, high performance and very visible brand in the Australian Motorsport landscape. It's a great fit with the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and everyone in the series is looking forward to a great year working with Racer Industries to grow both brands further."

The opening round of the 2009 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge series will be held at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, between February 20 - 21 as part of the Bathurst 12 hour festival
