Tanner Foust won a wild one in New York City this past weekend.
Tanner Foust has won his first race of the 2014 Global Rallycross season after failing to punch out a podium result after the opening three races. Andretti Autosport has now won three of the first four races this season, and with three different drivers nonetheless.
It looked like Andretti would leave New York with a 1-2 finish, but it wasn't meant to be. Scott Speed, who's already won two races this year (including the X-Games) was originally scored second, but later penalized and dropped to ninth.
Nelson Piquet Jr. inherited the runner-up spot, marking his third consecutive race where he ended up on the podium. Ken Block would finish third. The main event was slowed by two red flags.
Nelson Piquet Jr. leads the championship standings by 35 points over Scott Speed.
