You would think WRC rally and auctions would have little in common, but you’d be dead wrong.

There’s great excitement, rivalry, and the joy of victory. During this year's racing season, wellbid.com attended the most important WRC races, giving all fans an extra dose of adrenaline and the opportunity to get brand name items at jaw-dropping prices.

2014 was a year rich in stellar performances, surprising outcomes, and dangerous accidents. Sébastien Ogier, World Champion for the second time in a row, will remember it well. The French driver maintained his lead and showed off his great style. The season culminated with the November rally in Wales. Emotions were fueled by live auctions organised by wellbid.com, which has already become a permanent fixture in the rally landscape. Auctions concluded with spectacular results, as a PlayStation 4 console, a Samsung TV, and co-drives with rally champions were sold for mere pennies.

Great emotions were also experienced by Polish fans during the 72nd Rally Poland. The Ogier/Ingrassi team showed great skill on the tricky Polish routes, winning most of the special stages. Bernardo Sousa and Hugo Magalhães, who competed in Poland for the first time, did their best to keep up the pace. The ambitious Portuguese placed fifth in the WRC2 classification. In addition to the special stages, many of other exciting activities took place, as wellbid.com provided the Polish fans with an extra dose of adrenaline. Portuguese racers met with Polish fans and incredible auctions were held featuring many brand name items: TVs, a PlayStation 4, a TomTom GPS, and a Karcher pressure washer.

Indeed, auctions and races share many similarities. “The timer counting down the time until the end of the auction is like the one at the race, which measures the time for special stages,” said Bernardo Sousa, WRC2 driver. “I've taken part in such a live auction. There are the same emotions as during the race, they both give you the same surge of adrenaline,” added co-driver, Hugo Magalhães.

The live auction frenzy will certainly be remembered for a long time, especially by the winners of the big-ticket items: a TV that sold for a few pence, the game console which went for less than a pound, as well as an exciting co-drive with rally racers. It may seem impossible, but, at wellbid.com, similar things happen every day!

Reflecting on the exciting season, Bernardo Sousa encouraged everyone to participate in both live and online auctions. “It was an intense season. We've been racing all around Europe, starting with the sharp turns of Poland Rally, through Germany and Madeira, and finishing on the difficult routes in Wales Rally.

Wellbid.com was coming with us everywhere. I believe they are the perfect sponsor, because rallies and auctions have so much in common. They both give you unforgettable experiences,” Sousa said.

WRC will be back in 2015, but why wait? You can head over to wellbid.com, where each day is a competition for valuable prizes. For all four-wheel enthusiasts there is, for instance, the Ferrari Racing wheel. With such an accessory, you'll feel like a real race pro! So, what are you waiting for?
