Motorsport Activities Highlight Laughlin's December Events Calendar
April 19, 2005-LAUGHLIN,NV- Following the contract signing between American Rally Sport Group, Inc. and event sponsor the Ramada Express Hotel-Casino, the confirmed competition date for the 2005 Ramada Express International Rally USA, headquartered in Laughlin, NV, will be December 8-11, 2005. Vehicle tech and final event registration is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, followed by three competition days. The schedule for pre-event course reconnaissance will be announced at a later date.
The Ramada Express International Rally USA, with its dynamic Grand Canyon Stages and Windy Point Hill Climb, is the final event in the United States Rally Championship. The USRC is the cooperative partnership of the United States Auto Club (USAC) and the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). The four FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) calendar-listed events form a highly respected championship series that represents and sanctions international, regional, and sportsman rally competition and rally-related events. USRC championship events are broadcast throughout the world on Motorsport Mundial on SPEED Channel.
The Ramada Express International Rally USA also incorporates the Western States Rally Championship, California Rally Series championship and NASA RallySport West. Additional motorsport-related events and activities held during Rally Week include the Rally EXPO, a two-day GPS Adventure Rally and tour, Saturday's International Import Auto Show, and the Sunday SuperStage® at Laughlin's Special Events Arena.
Since its inception in 1996, American Rally Sport Group, Inc. (ARSG) has been recognized for its innovative approaches leading to the successful promotion and development of international and regional competition, rally schools, and rally auto-cross events. In 1998 the rally debuted with America's first SuperStage®, a dual-action 1.25-mile dirt rally course, one of its hallmark events designed to bring exciting rally action direct to the public. The Ramada Express International Rally USA in Laughlin, created and organized by ARSG's president, Roger Allison, and Subaru Rim of the World Rally in Lancaster, CA, created and organized by ARSG's vice-president Ray Hocker represent two of the strongest, toughest events on America's United States Rally Championship calendar.
